Leonard C. Walczyk, Esq., is a member of the law firm of Wasserman, Jurista & Stolz, P.C., and has over twenty-five years of experience in bankruptcy and insolvency law, representing debtors, trustees, secured lenders, landlords, creditors and committees in cases under Chapters 7, 11 and 13 of the Bankruptcy Code, corporate reorganizations, state court receiverships and liquidation proceedings, and out of court workouts. Mr. Walczyk has substantial bankruptcy litigation experience related to bringing and defending actions including contested plan confirmation hearings, objections to discharge, avoidance of fraudulent transfers, valuation of collateral, and determinations of discharge of tax obligations, small and middle market debtors, creditors, committees, trustees, buyers, landlords, franchisors, and other parties in bankruptcy, reorganization, workout, and state court insolvency proceedings.

Mr. Walczyk has represented clients in diverse industries such as information technology, manufacturing, construction, architecture, transportation, health care, banking and finance, wholesale and retail distribution, professional/personal services, and real estate development.

He has specialized knowledge of bankruptcy and insolvency law as applied to varied areas of law, including construction lien law, ERISA and labor law, taxation, securities/SEC, intellectual property, real estate and land use, eminent domain, environmental law, secured transactions, franchise law, asset protection, transactions, leasing, landlord/tenant, employment agreements, and matrimonial law.

Mr. Walczyk obtained his Juris Doctorate from New York Law School and his Bachelors of Science degree from Syracuse University. He is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, and the state and federal courts of New Jersey.

On September 9, 2019, Leonard C. Walczyk presented at the Fall conference of the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners’ Subcommittee on Accounting & Finance in Milwaukee on the topic of ‘When Utilities and Bankruptcy Collide.
