Stuart M. Brown received his law degree, with honors, from Boston University School of Law in 1987 and his undergraduate degree, with honors, from the University of Pennsylvania in 1984. Mr. Brown is admitted to the Courts of the State of New Jersey and the United States District for the District of New Jersey. Mr. Brown is a member of the American Bar Association and the New Jersey Bar Association.
Mr. Brown is a founding partner of Brown Moskowitz & Kallen, P.C. Mr. Brown provides comprehensive business counseling, with a particular emphasis on the needs of closely-held businesses. He assists entrepreneurs and businesses in all phases of growth, including formation (choice of entity), organization, capitalization, financing, partnership or shareholder issues and ongoing business and commercial matters. In addition, he has extensive experience representing clients in all aspects of financing, acquisition, merger and sale transactions, as well as corporate restructurings.
Mr. Brown served as the Vice President and General Counsel of a publicly traded NASDAQ (NMS) company for five years before forming Brown Moskowitz & Kallen, P.C. Prior to moving in-house in 1995, Mr. Brown practiced in the corporate department at Sills Cummis & Gross, one of New Jersey’s premier law firms. In addition to maintaining an active law practice, Mr. Brown often lectures on law related topics to business owners and executives as well as college and graduate students.
